A team from the University of Pittsburgh and collaborators tested a novel intervention designed to train autistic children in developing internal speech\u2014and the results suggest it may reduce emotional dysregulation.<\/p>\n<p>Emotional outbursts and difficulty with <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/self-control\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">self-control<\/a> can disrupt the lives of many <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/autistic+children\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">autistic children<\/a> and their families.
