PM<sub>2.5<\/sub> refers to <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/fine+particulate+matter\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">fine particulate matter<\/a> with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller that can be inhaled deeply into the lungs and even enter the bloodstream.
