This study, an extensive and comprehensive analysis of the red planet\u2019s atmospheric waves, has just been published in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets.<\/p>\n<p>Atmospheric waves are \u201cwave-shaped disturbances that travel through the planet\u2019s atmosphere, much like waves moving across the surface of water,\u201d explains the study \u201cAtmospheric Gravity Waves in Mars\u2019 Lower Atmosphere: Nadir Observations From OMEGA\/Mars Express Data.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The researchers focused on this energy, which has a significant impact on the planet\u2019s climate.
