A research team from Innsbruck, Austria, has now succeeded in creating so-called hot Schr\u00f6dinger cat states in a superconducting microwave resonator. The study, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/doi\/10.1126\/sciadv.adr4492\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in <i>Science Advances<\/i>, shows that quantum phenomena can also be observed and used in less perfect, warmer conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Schr\u00f6dinger cat states are a fascinating phenomenon in <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/quantum+physics\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">quantum physics<\/a> in which a quantum object exists simultaneously in two different states.
