The findings were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41586-025-08723-7\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in the journal <i>Nature<\/i> on March 26, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The discovery of the all-new class of antibiotics responds to a critical need for new antimicrobial medicines, as bacteria and other microorganisms evolve new ways to withstand existing drugs.
