Now, imagine witnessing these mesmerizing displays over the world\u2019s highest mountain range\u2014the Himalayas.<\/p>\n<p>On the night of May 19, 2022, two Chinese astrophotographers, Angel An and Shuchang Dong, captured a spectacular display of over one hundred <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/red+sprites\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">red sprites<\/a> over the Himalayas.
