Their latest study advances in understanding the photovoltaic effect in ferroelectric crystals.<\/p>\n<p>The article, \u201cStudy on In\ufb02uence of AC Poling on Bulk Photovoltaic E\ufb00ect in Pb(Mg<sub>1\/3 <\/sub>Nb<sub>2\/3<\/sub>)O<sub>3<\/sub>-PbTiO<sub>3<\/sub> Single Crystals,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/advanced.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/aelm.202570009\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> in <i>Advanced Electronic Materials<\/i>, reports the team\u2019s recent research results regarding improving the electric output of the bulk photovoltaic effect (BPVE) via manipulation of ferroelectric domains in oxide perovskite crystals.<\/p>\n<p>In ordinary <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/solar+cells\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">solar cells<\/a>, the mechanism of harvesting the solar energy and then converting them into green electricity is based on the formation of p-n junctions of semiconductors.
