Efficient sterilization methods are thus a necessity.<\/p>\n<p>In the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1002\/anie.202424067\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Angewandte Chemie<\/i><\/a>, a research team has now introduced a novel, sustainable, electrocatalytic <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/sterilization\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">sterilization<\/a> method based on electrodes covered with copper oxide nanowires.
