A new study led by Western astrophysicists Cole Gregg and Paul Wiegert recommends Alpha Centauri\u2014the next closest solar system to ours\u2014is a great place to start, highlighting how and why it\u2019s a prime target.<\/p>\n<p>The findings were <a href=\"https:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/article\/10.3847\/PSJ\/adb1e9\" target=\"_blank\">published<\/a> March 6 in The Planetary Science Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Interstellar objects are astronomical material, like asteroids or comets, not gravitationally bound to a star.
