Reuters believes that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2013\/05\/30\/us-transportation-agency-backs-public-use-of-self-driving-cars\/\">Transportation Secretary<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2015\/05\/18\/us-closer-to-v2v-legislation\/\">Anthony Foxx<\/a> will head to Detroit tomorrow to talk about the administration\u2019s efforts to accelerate the development of self-driving cars. It\u2019s said that Google, which has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.engadget.com\/2016\/01\/09\/googles-self-driving-cars-dont-crash-as-much-as-humans-do\/\">spearheading the project<\/a> to build an autonomous vehicle, will also be in attendance at the event. The newswire mentions Mark Rosekind, head of the nation\u2019s traffic safety bureau, who has asked for a \u201cnimble, flexible\u201d approach to writing new traffic regulations.
