Well, actually, no, he didn\u2019t. \u201cI cloned his voice in less than three minutes,\u201d says Viggo Tellefsen Wivestad, researcher at SINTEF Digital.<\/p>\n<p>Wivestad began his talk on <a href=\"https:\/\/phys.org\/tags\/deepfake\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">deepfake<\/a> with himself on video, but as Brad, with his characteristic sexy voice: \u201cDeepfake. Scary stuff, right?\u201d And that is precisely the researcher\u2019s message.<\/p>\n<p>Deepfake will become a growing threat to us as both private individuals and employees, and to society at large.
