Many studies have shown that this relates to cancer, where exercise and maintaining a healthy weight can reduce the <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/chapter\/10.1007\/978-3-642-04231-7_2\">risk of developing cancer<\/a>. Studies have shown that <a href=\"http:\/\/dx.doi.org\/10.1001\/jamanetworkopen.2021.3520\">obesity<\/a> raises the risk of mortality in cancer patients.<\/p>\n<p>Data recently published in the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bjsm.bmj.com\/content\/early\/2025\/01\/03\/bjsports-2024-108671\">British Journal of Sports Medicine<\/a><\/em> suggests that staying fit could reduce the risk of dying from cancer. The study looked at two different readouts for fitness: muscle strength and cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF).<\/p>\n<p>The researchers undertook a comprehensive review and meta-analysis by examining peer-reviewed studies published before August 2023.
