At the same time, the company announced plans to open two data centers as part of a \u00a31 billion ($1.25 billion) investment in the U.K.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s news coincides with a <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/01\/13\/uk-throws-its-hat-into-the-ai-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">separate announcement from the U.K. government<\/a>, which details a five-year investment plan to bolster government-owned AI computing capacity as well as geographic \u201cAI Growth Zones,\u201d which includes AI infrastructure from the private sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CoreWeave, the cloud computing company that provides companies with AI compute resources, has formally opened its first two data centers in the U.K. \u2014 its first outside its domestic U.S. market.
