OpenAI, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/openai-strawberry-thought-process-scheming\" class=\"\">recently dropped its \u201cStrawberry\u201d model<\/a>, which the company <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/openai-released-strawberry-o1-preview-model\" class=\"\">billed<\/a> as its next-level large language model (LLM) capable of advanced reasoning. (That model has since been <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/introducing-openai-o1-preview\/\" class=\"\">renamed<\/a> just \u201co1.\u201d) <\/p>\n<p>But marketing aside, there\u2019s no agreed-upon industrywide definition for what reasoning exactly means.
