Subsets were assigned according to the following markers: B cells (CD19<sup>+<\/sup>), NK cells (CD56<sup>+<\/sup>, CD3<sup>\u2212<\/sup>), CD56 dim (CD56dim, CD3<sup>\u2212<\/sup>), CD56 bright (CD56bright, CD3<sup>\u2212<\/sup>), NK-T cells (CD56<sup>+<\/sup>, CD3<sup>+<\/sup>), T cells (CD3<sup>+<\/sup>), and monocytes (FSC\/SSC). (B) Representative \u03b22-adrenergic receptor (\u03b22AR) expression histograms of freshly isolated or cultured NK cells. \u00a9 IFN\u03b3 secretion of fresh NK cells (top) or cultured NK cells (bottom). NK cells were pretreated with epinephrine \u00b1 propranolol (each 1 \u00b5M) and stimulated for 5 h by plate-bound antibodies as indicated.
