Better yet, a new study shows it appears to be \u2018plug and play\u2019, theoretically able to slot into any organism, making it a promising candidate for a <a href=\"https:\/\/sciencealert.com\/the-uk-is-poised-to-start-cancer-vaccine-tests-in-the-fall-heres-what-to-know\">cancer vaccine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DNA damage response protein C (DdrC) was found in a hardy little bacterium called <a href=\"https:\/\/sciencealert.com\/bacteria-might-be-able-to-survive-the-harsh-journey-between-earth-and-mars-iss-study-finds\">Deinococcus radiodurans<\/a>.
