Their study has identified a specific gene that plays a crucial role in extending longevity across various species, including humans.<\/p>\n<p>Publishing their work in the journal <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-024-51542-z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow external\">Cell Reports<\/a><\/em>, researchers say the gene in question is called <strong>OSER1<\/strong>, and it encodes a protein that the team has dubbed a \u201cnovel pro-longevity factor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe identified this protein that can extend longevity.
