Ask Teja Santosh Dandibhotla.<\/p>\n<p>Upset that a paper of his <a href=\"https:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/article\/10.1088\/1742-6596\/1916\/1\/012001\/pdf\">had been retracted<\/a> from the <em>Journal of Physics: Conference Series<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/dr-teja-santosh-dandibhotla-28125226\/?originalSubdomain=in\">Santosh<\/a>, a computer scientist at the CVR College of Engineering in Hyderabad, India, contacted us to plead his case. (We of course do not make decisions about retractions, we reminded him.) <\/p>\n<p>Santosh\u2019s article, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/article\/10.1088\/1742-6596\/1916\/1\/012001\/pdf\">Intelligent defaulter Prediction using Data Science Process<\/a>,\u201d had been pulled along with <a href=\"https:\/\/retractionwatch.com\/2022\/02\/23\/publisher-retracts-350-papers-at-once\/\">some 350 other papers<\/a> in two conference proceedings because IOP Publishing had \u201cuncovered evidence of systematic manipulation of the publication process and considerable citation manipulation.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes leaving well-enough alone is the best policy.
