We know it exists due to its gravitational effects, yet direct detection has remained elusive.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lancaster.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Lancaster University<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ox.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">University of Oxford<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalholloway.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Royal Holloway<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.london.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">University of London<\/a>, are leveraging cutting-edge quantum technologies to build the most sensitive dark matter detectors to date. Their project, titled \u201cA Quantum View of the Invisible Universe,\u201d is featured at the <a href=\"https:\/\/royalsociety.org\/science-events-and-lectures\/summer-science-exhibition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Royal Society\u2019s Summer Science Exhibition<\/a>.
