This would mean that it would be possible to remove someone\u2019s head, and graft it onto the neck and shoulders of another person. As of yet, this has only been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC6511668\/\">performed on cadavers<\/a> and not on living humans.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"display: block; margin: 0 auto; width: 100%; aspect-ratio: 4\/3; object-fit: contain;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_EHCHv5u3O4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope;\n   picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But suppose you want to keep the face that you\u2019ve already got? Or have grown tired of the body you inhabit? Could it ever be possible to switch brains between bodies instead?<\/p>\n<p>Emma Stone recently won <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/lifestyle\/emma-stone-wins-second-career-oscar-poor-things-2024-03-11\/\">her second Oscar<\/a> for her performance in the brilliantly surreal comedy <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/poor-things-meet-the-radical-scottish-visionary-behind-the-new-hit-film-220080\">Poor Things<\/a>. In the film, Stone\u2019s character, Bella Baxter, receives a brain transplant from her surviving unborn child after killing herself.
