While the two organizations\u2019 cooperation was announced at the time of their creation, Donelan says that the new agreement \u201cformalizes\u201d and \u201cputs meat on the bones\u201d of that cooperation. She also said it \u201coffers the opportunity for them\u2014the United States government\u2014to lean on us a little bit in the stage where they\u2019re establishing and formalizing their institute, because ours is up and running and fully functioning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two AI safety testing bodies will develop a common approach to AI safety testing that involves using the same methods and underlying infrastructure, according to a news release.
