LAUSD is nation\u2019s second-largest district, with 565,479 students, of which 86,081 (15%) are still \u201clearning to speak English proficiently,\u201d according to a district fact sheet.<\/p>\n<p>It also assists students with complex administrative tasks such as submitting applications.
