Schmidt <a href=\"http:\/\/airandspaceforces.com\/as-national-ai-panel-shuts-down-new-think-tank-emerges-to-continue-its-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">launched the think tank<\/a> with staff from the commission in order to continue the commission\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<p>AI\u2019s applicability to biological warfare is \u201csomething which we don\u2019t talk about very much,\u201d Schmidt said, but it poses grave risks. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be possible for bad actors to take the large databases of how biology works and use it to generate things which hurt human beings,\u201d Schmidt said, calling that risk \u201ca very near-term concern.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artificial intelligence could bring about \u201cbiological conflict,\u201d said former Google chief executive Eric Schmidt, who co-chaired the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence.
