However, the famous space agency is preparing to launch another powerful space telescope to explore the cosmos, but this time using ultraviolet light, and is appropriately called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvex.caltech.edu\/\">UVEX (UltraViolet Explorer)<\/a>, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/news-release\/nasa-selects-proposals-to-study-stellar-explosions-galaxies-stars\/\">previously selected in 2022<\/a> for further evaluation as part of NASA\u2019s Medium-Class Explorer program and is currently scheduled to launch no earlier than 2027.<\/p>\n<p><em>Southern Ring Nebula taken in near-infrared light (left) and mid-infrared light (right) by NASA\u2019s James Webb Space Telescope.
