To do that, they\u2019re planning to retrofit their existing street cabinets into publicly accessible L2 chargers.<\/p>\n<p>Retrofitting a city\u2019s existing electronic and digital infrastructure to promote widespread adoption of EVs isn\u2019t a new idea \u2014 but UK telecom giant BT Group isn\u2019t content to just talk about what\u2019s possible. They\u2019ve already done it!<\/p>\n<p>The first such telecom cabinet-to-L2 charger conversion has already been completed in East Lothian, Scotland, and BT Group isn\u2019t stopping there.
