In a new study, researchers show that introducing this mutation to rat heart tissue grown in a laboratory can induce growth.<\/p>\n<p>Repairing <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/cardiac+muscle\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">cardiac muscle<\/a> after a <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/heart+attack\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">heart attack<\/a> is the \u201choly grail\u201d of heart research, complicated by the fact that heart tissue does not regenerate on its own.
