The four Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) private astronauts met the seven Expedition 70 crew members on <a href=\"https:\/\/scitechdaily.com\/axiom-ax-3-dragon-spacecraft-docks-to-space-station-four-private-astronauts-board-iss\/\">Saturday<\/a> beginning two weeks of dual operations.<\/p>\n<p>The Ax-3 crew spent the weekend getting familiar with space station systems and emergency procedures before starting Monday with a full schedule of science and media activities. Ax-3 Commander Michael L\u00f3pez-Alegr\u00eda joined Pilot Walter Villadei and studied how microgravity affects the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission\/station\/research-explorer\/investigation\/?#id=9095\">biochemistry of neurodegenerative diseases<\/a> such as Alzheimer\u2019s to improve health on Earth and in space.
