Replacing Workers With AI Is Actually More Expensive, MIT Finds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"aligncenter blog-photo\" href=\"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog.images\/oops-replacing-workers-with-ai-is-actually-more-expensive-mit-finds2.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A team of MIT researchers has found that in many instances, replacing human workers with AI is still more expensive than sticking with the people, a conclusion that flies in the face of current fears over the technology <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/the-byte\/artificial-intelligence-steal-job\" class=\"\">taking our jobs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As detailed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/futuretech-site.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com\/2024-01-18+Beyond_AI_Exposure.pdf?ascsubtag=0000FT0000309530D1945206120240123182312\" class=\"\">new paper<\/a>, the team examined the cost-effectiveness of 1,000 \u201cvisual inspection\u201d tasks across 800 occupations, such as inspecting food to see whether it\u2019s gone bad.
