It is also one of the most challenging to study scientifically, as it involves <em class=\"\">subjective<\/em> experiences that are not directly observable or measurable. David Chalmers, a professor of philosophy and neural science at NYU mentions in his book <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com.np\/books?hl=en&lr=&id=0fZZQHOfdAAC&oi=fnd&pg=PR11&ots=qov-5aFRUP&sig=Aqwmy6hMeCQrkzxMuvfkf0Xvhqc&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false\" rel=\"noopener ugc nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><em class=\"\">The Conscious Mind<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"\"><p>\u201cIt may be the largest outstanding obstacle in our quest for a scientific understanding of the universe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The real questions are: <em class=\"\">how can we approach the problem of consciousness from a rigorous and objective perspective? Is there a way to quantify and model the phenomena of awareness, feelings, thoughts, and selfhood? <\/em>There is no definitive answer to this question, but some researchers have attempted to use mathematical <em class=\"\">tools<\/em> and methods to study these phenomena.
