Though the coffin was damaged, it held a well-preserved vessel made of <a href=\"https:\/\/calvinchimes.org\/2015\/05\/08\/mineral-spotlight-alabaster\">alabaster<\/a>, the white mineral Egyptians often used to make perfume containers, jars and funerary decorations, according to <em>Ahram Online<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe artifacts and burials uncovered provide a window into the lives of those who lived in this ancient civilization,\u201d Mostafa Waziri, secretary-general of Egypt\u2019s Supreme Council of Antiquities, tells the publication.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, researchers found two terracotta statues of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/Isis-Egyptian-goddess\">Isis<\/a>, the Egyptian goddess associated with magic and resurrection, and one of the child deity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucl.ac.uk\/museums-static\/digitalegypt\/memphis\/harpocrates.html\">Harpocrates<\/a> riding a goose.
