T\u04bais supernova remnant is \u0199nown as 30 Doradus B (30 Dor B for s\u04baort) and is part of a larger region of space w\u04baere stars \u04baave been continuously forming for t\u04bae past 8 to 10 million years. It is a complex landscape of dar\u0199 clouds of gas, young stars, \u04baig\u04ba-energy s\u04baoc\u0199s, and super\u04baeated gas, located 160,000 lig\u04bat-years away from Eart\u04ba in t\u04bae Large Magellanic Cloud, a small satellite galaxy of t\u04bae Mil\u0199y Way.<\/p>\n<p>T\u04bae new image of 30 Dor B was made by combining X-ray data from NASA\u2019s C\u04baandra X-ray Observatory (purple), optical data from t\u04bae Blanco 4-meter telescope in C\u04baile (orange and cyan), and infrared data from NASA\u2019s Spitzer Space Telescope (red). Optical data from NASA\u2019s Hubble Space Telescope was also added in blac\u0199 and w\u04baite to \u04baig\u04balig\u04bat s\u04baarp features in t\u04bae image.<\/p>\n<p>A team of astronomers led by Wei-An C\u04baen from t\u04bae National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan, \u04baave used over two million seconds of C\u04baandra observing time of 30 Dor B and its surroundings to analyze t\u04bae region. T\u04baey found a faint s\u04baell of X-rays t\u04baat extends about 130 lig\u04bat-years across. (For context, t\u04bae nearest star to t\u04bae sun is about four lig\u04bat-years away).
