Their invention extends <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/sci-tech\/science\/iit-bombay-makes-analog-device-that-mimics-neurons\/article19939638.ece\" target=\"_self\">neuromorphic computing<\/a> \u2013 the practice of modelling computers after the human brain \u2013 to a new level by directly including brain tissue in a computer.<\/p>\n<p>The system was developed by a team of researchers from Indiana University, Bloomington; the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children\u2019s Hospital Medical Centre, Cincinnati; and the University of Florida, Gainesville.
