The AI startup, which Musk announced in July,\u2026<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>X.AI, an artificial intelligence startup founded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/elon-musk\/\">Elon Musk<\/a>, has filed with the SEC to raise up to $1 billion in an equity offering.<\/p>\n<p>The company has already brought in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/2002695\/000200269523000002\/xslFormDX01\/primary_doc.xml\" target=\"_blank\">nearly $135 million<\/a> from four investors, with the first sale occurring on Nov. 29, and has a \u201cbinding and enforceable agreement\u201d for the purchase of the remaining shares, the filing says.<\/p>\n<p>The AI startup, which Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/07\/12\/elon-musk-launches-his-new-company-xai.html\">announced in July<\/a>, seeks to \u201cunderstand the true nature of the universe,\u201d according to its website.
