The models were <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/facebookresearch\/seamless_communication\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">publicly released<\/a> this week along with <a href=\"https:\/\/ai.meta.com\/research\/publications\/seamless-multilingual-expressive-and-streaming-speech-translation\/\">research papers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/facebookresearch\/seamless_communication\">accompanying data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The flagship model, called Seamless, merges capabilities from three other models \u2014 SeamlessExpressive, SeamlessStreaming, and SeamlessM4T v2 \u2014 into one unified system. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lifeboat.com\/blog.videos\/meta-ai-unveils-seamless-translator-for-real-time-communication-across-languages.gif\">research paper<\/a>, Seamless is \u201cthe first publicly available system that unlocks expressive cross-lingual communication in real-time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Seamless translator represents a new frontier in the use of AI for communication across the blog.
