Brockman\u2019s sudden departure adds to the day\u2019s uncertainties at OpenAI, following closely on the heels of its <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/11\/06\/everything-announced-at-openais-first-developer-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maiden developer conference led by Altman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m super proud of what we\u2019ve all built together since starting in my apartment 8 years ago. We\u2019ve ben through tough &amp; great times together, accomplishing so much despite all the reasons it should have been impossible,\u201d wrote Brockman in a message to OpenAI team. \u201cBut based on today\u2019s news, I quit. Genuinely wishing you all nothing but the best. I continue to believe in the mission of creating safe AGI that benefits all of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI earlier said that Brockman was stepping down as chairman of the board, but will remain at the firm.
