In turn, this allowed OpenAI to train increasingly powerful models and \u201cunlocked the AI capabilities\u201d of tools like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/12\/8\/23499728\/ai-capability-accessibility-chatgpt-stable-diffusion-commercialization\">ChatGPT<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/7\/23587454\/microsoft-bing-edge-chatgpt-ai\">Bing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Scott Guthrie, Microsoft\u2019s vice president of AI and cloud, said the company spent several hundreds of millions of dollars on the project, according to a statement given to <em>Bloomberg<\/em>.
