I feel for anyone in the human trials.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Documents viewed as part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/story\/elon-musk-pcrm-neuralink-monkey-deaths\/\" class=\"\">new investigation by <i>Wired<\/i><\/a>, however, as well as testimony from a former employee, contradict Musk\u2019s claims entirely \u2014 and the details are as upsetting as they are damning, adding to a <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/neoscope\/neuralink-quite-bit-of-trouble\" class=\"\">mounting case<\/a> against the safety of Neuralink\u2019s devices.<\/p>\n<p>And the timing couldn\u2019t be more exigent either, with Neuralink announcing on Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/neoscope\/neuralink-recruiting-human-subjects\" class=\"\">that it\u2019s recruiting subjects for human trials<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the harrowing casualty report, per veterinary records obtained by <i>Wired<\/i> from the California National Primate Research Center (CNPRC) at UC Davis, the site of the Neuralink primate research. Up to a dozen monkeys suffered grisly fates after receiving a Neuralink implant, including brain swelling and partial paralysis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This isn\u2019t good.
