(Image credit: Hadar Vishne, Royal College of Art) <\/p>\n<p>More than a quarter of all stroke victims develop a bizarre disorder \u2014 they lose conscious awareness of half of all that their eyes perceive.<\/p>\n<p>After a stroke in the brain\u2019s right half, for example, a person might eat only what\u2019s on the right side of the plate because they\u2019re unaware of the other half.
