This machine intelligence might create complex symphonies, direct blockbuster movies and run market-beating companies. But would it be sophisticated enough to understand spirituality, practice a religion or commune with a higher power?<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geekwire.com\/2018\/god-alexa-tech-religious-leaders-ponder-future-ai-together\/\" rel>conferences<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.festivalofideas.cam.ac.uk\/events\/god-and-machine-religious-perspectives-artificial-intelligence\" rel>forums<\/a> around the world, theologians and scientists are trying to answer these questions. Some are even debating whether the superintelligence should be converted to a specific religious perspective when it arrives \u2013 and then maybe even saved.<\/p>\n<p><em>Wired Magazine\u2019s<\/em> executive founding editor Kevin Kelly once <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eternitynews.com.au\/in-depth\/hey-siri-did-jesus-come-to-save-the-robots-too\/\" rel>said<\/a>, \u201cThe creator made us as beings with free will and consciousness \u2013 we are going to do the same thing.
