The vaccine is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrknewsroom.com\/news-release\/ebola\/mercks-ervebo-ebola-zaire-vaccine-rvsvdg-zebov-gp-live-granted-conditional-approv\">manufactured<\/a><\/strong> by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biospace.com\/employer\/248338\/merck-and-company\/\">Merck<\/a><\/strong> and has a trade name of Ervebo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe European Commission\u2019s marketing authorization of Ervebo is the result of an unprecedented collaboration for which the entire world should be proud,\u201d said Kenneth C. Frazier, Merck\u2019s chairman and chief executive officer. \u201cIt is a historic milestone and a testament to the power of science, innovation and public-private partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frazier added, \u201cAfter recognizing the need and urgency for an Ebola Zaire vaccine, many came together across sectors to answer the global call for outbreak preparedness.
