But a type of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencealert.com\/artificial-intelligence\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_self\">artificial intelligence<\/a> called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencealert.com\/artificial-intelligence\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_self\">machine learning<\/a> can massively accelerate the process and do the job for a fraction of the price.<\/p>\n<p>My colleagues and I recently used this technology to find three promising candidates for senolytic drugs \u2013 drugs that slow ageing and prevent age-related diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Senolytics work by killing <a href=\"https:\/\/rupress.org\/jcb\/article\/217\/1\/65\/39207\/Senescence-and-aging-Causes-consequences-and\">senescent cells<\/a>.
