A series of problems have befallen the mission in pre-launch simulations.<\/p>\n<p>Currently about halfway through the Euclid simulations campaign, the key focus in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/ESA_Multimedia\/Images\/1998\/01\/Rosetta_flight_path\" title=\"Main Control Room\" target=\"_blank\">Main Control Room<\/a> is the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) and spacecraft commissioning.<\/p>\n<p>These are the two most critical moments in a mission\u2019s life; as it wakes up after the rigours of launch, makes its first manoeuvres towards its target destination and as its instruments are commissioned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Euclid is ESA\u2019s mission to shed light on dark matter and dark energy, but teams at the Agency\u2019s mission control centre in Darmstadt, Germany, are also in the dark.
