It is the most recent in a series of research collaborations by this team, investigating the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/cellular+proteins\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">cellular proteins<\/a> responsible for apoptosis.<\/p>\n<p>Apoptosis is essential for human life, and its disruption can cause <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/cancerous+cells\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">cancerous cells<\/a> to grow and not respond to cancer treatment.
