Some particles oscillate between being matter and antimatter via superposition, as illustrated by the <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/interestingengineering.com\/video\/schrodingers-cat-explained-so-you-can-finally-understand-it\" rel=\"dofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-id=\"embedded internal links\" data-type=\"link\" data-url=\"https:\/\/interestingengineering.com\/video\/schrodingers-cat-explained-so-you-can-finally-understand-it\">thought experiment of Schr\u00f6dinger\u2019s cat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a world-first discovery, it was found that the charm meson, a subatomic particle made out of a charm quark and an antiquark, can travel as a mixture of their particle and antiparticle states, all the while spontaneously switching between the two.
