There\u2019s a lot of fintech news out there and it\u2019s my job to stay on top of it \u2014 and make sense of it \u2014 so you can stay in the know. \u2014 <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bayareawriter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em> Mary Ann <\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Storied venture firms <b>Sequoia Capital<\/b> and <b>Andreessen Horowitz (a16z)<\/b> invested more in fintech than any other category in 2022, according to research from CB Insights. I\u2019m not going to lie \u2014 upon learning this, my fintech-loving ears perked up.<\/p>\n<p>Sequoia apparently was fairly active overall last year despite the global downturn, with over 100 investments. And fintech represented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbinsights.com\/research\/sequoia-capital-fintech-investment-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>nearly a quarter<\/i><\/a> of the firm\u2019s deals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to The Interchange !
