Bard, the company\u2019s new AI experiment, aims to \u201ccombine the breadth of the world\u2019s knowledge with the power, intelligence, and creativity of our large language models.\u201d Not short on ambition, Google!<\/p>\n<p>The model, or service, or AI chatbot, however you wish to describe it, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.google\/technology\/ai\/bard-google-ai-search-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced in a blog post by CEO Sundar Pichai<\/a>. He pointedly notes Google\u2019s recentering around AI some years back, as well as the fact that the most influential concept (the Transformer) was created by the company\u2019s researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/1706.03762\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in 2017<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a really exciting time to be working on these technologies as we translate deep research and breakthroughs into products that truly help people,\u201d Pichai writes.
