A historian and researcher at the University of Central Florida\u2019s Institute for Simulation &amp; Training, Walters and her team at <a href=\"http:\/\/srealserver.eecs.ucf.edu\/chronopoints\/\" target=\"_blank\">ChronoPoints<\/a> use three-dimensional terrestrial <strong>laser scanning to document historic buildings<\/strong>. The scanning process results in highly detailed <strong>digital models<\/strong> that can eventually be incorporated into educational programming about the structures.
