These could be used in the future as a new type of biomarker for this disease.<\/p>\n<p>Many human diseases can be detected and diagnosed using biomarkers in blood or other <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/body+fluids\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">body fluids<\/a>. Parkinson\u2019s disease is different: to date, there is no such <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalxpress.com\/tags\/biomarker\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">biomarker<\/a> being used in the clinicto indicate this neurodegenerative disease.<\/p>\n<p>A team led by ETH Zurich Professor Paola Picotti could now help to close this gap.
