In 1999 rapamycin obtained FDA approval for the prevention of <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/11135052\/\" rel=\"noopener ugc nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">acute rejection of renal transplant<\/a>.
