Researchers used advanced computation and genetic sequencing to determine that metformin\u2019s targets overlap significantly with genes dysregulated in atrial fibrillation.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Finding drugs or procedures to treat atrial fibrillation is difficult because of potential serious side effects.
